An assignment for Steve's BD class.
I think it's not perfect, but it's the first time I seriously use modeling clay......wished I know the skills to make it better.
I made it according to a photo but it only show her back. So I have to imagine her face and how she posed her hands.
I put her on 2 layers of scrap wood so she looked like floating on a board staring far away.
That idea reminds me of some pirates movie......or some ancient Greek goddess.
I call her Helen because I want her to be,or let the viewer to imagine her to be, the most beautiful woman on Earth.
After revisited those photos, I felt she actually looks like Medusa more than Helen......

Second attempt on using clay. Trying to do a similar but different object from Helen. I took a similar post, just like Helen, the horse crosses its legs. It looks like it's galloping out of water full of fear and anger. I was trying to attempt a romanticism style just like Helen.
