Pencil Drawing Practises
The following pencil drawings are created around 2003 - 2004 during Mr Lau's drawing class.

Papaya & Beans
Drawn on 1st March, 2003
Pencil on cartridge paper.
This live drawing practise was based on real vegetables.
The texture of the papaya was not easy to make, it takes a lot of layering to make it look pop out and realistic.

Cucumber & Beans
Drawn on 14th January, 2004
Pencil on cartridge paper.
This live drawing practise was created in class based on a reprica of Michelangelo's famous David's head sculpture.

String Ball
Drawn date unspecified.
Pencil on cartridge paper.
The string ball is one of the most complicated things to draw realistically. The challenge is in the details and how to layer the constant change of the rope in a natural and 3D form.

Torsal
Drawn on 7th Oct, 2004
Pencil on cartridge paper.
This torsal was drawn from a mini statue in class. I remember I didn't have enough time to complete the bottom part of the drawing when Mr Lau commented that it doesn't matter if I didn't get the "water pipe" right ......
