Scenery Sketches
The following images are taken inspired by the photographic magazine National Geographic.
I was finding some images to copy and practise my sketching skills.

The Snow Storm
Date drawn: 23rd August, 2004
This is one of my favourite sketches I have created so far. It is very atmospheric and it looks like a cinematic shot for an epic story.
The helicopter was simplified and used my own imagination to complete the details using some circle shaped machines and square windows.
This strange design adds a mystical futuristic fantasy to this scenery.
I can really write a story about this image someday. I imagine myself approaching the helicopter, walking tiredly in the snow field before the storm comes......

The City of Birds
Date drawn: 23rd August, 2004
This was drawn on the back of the above image and was copied from an advertisment. I forgot if it was originally for network communications for a cell company or banking advertisement. I added a few extra birds and some ray beams from the sky to emphasise the atmosphere.
The boat on the left was supposed to be on water but it looks like it is floating over the city with the birds because of my poor layering skills.
It adds some fantasy element on it, reminds me of Peter Pan's pirate boat.
