2014 One Prize Competition---Smart Dock, Collaborative Individualism

 

ONE PRIZE is an Annual Design and Science Award to Promote Green Design in Cities.

In collaboration with Maverick Ho. 

 

The following images show the submission work of our design for the competition. 

We transformed an abandoned dock into an experiential school in Brooklyn Navy Yard with the concept of Collaborative Individualism. 

The basement includes a public space, a kitchen, while the upper levels are the studio labs and classrooms. The administrative offices and library are located on the highest floor.

 

The concept design of our studios are based on a network of connections, where people are able to work together collaboratively while enjoying their private space in their own private studio.
